Cornwell Volunteer Fire Company with first Steam Fire Engine, c. 1875

- Cornwell Volunteer Fire Company with its newly purchased (by the City of Ypsilanti0 First Steam Firefighting Engine in front of its Fire Hall at 213 North Huron Street. The picture also shows the livery next door where the horses were rented as needed for fires. Members of company are listed on back of picture although not identified in photograph. They include Will McCullough, Will Green, George Kishlar, W.G. Shipman, F.P. Bogardes, Billy Robbins, Jerry Jones, Minor Downing, Cassius Holmes, Will Kniseley, Lane Kniseley, Clark Cornwell, Dirk Davis, Dr. Batwell.
