Description:

A view from one of the upper floors of the Michigan state capitol building, possibly from where Henry S. North had his office as Deputy Commissioner of Insurance. The view is to the northeast, toward the intersection of Allegan Street and Capitol Avenue. City Hall and some churches can be seen in the distance. Note on sleeve: "No. 114. June 19, 1899. 2:35 pm. Bright sun. M-m. Opr. Hat. 10 seconds Velux."
