Laurie Robinson, Assistant U.S Attorney General, opens the Medal of Valor award ceremony, which recognizes public safety officers who have exhibited exceptional courage. Robinson introduces U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder who describes some of the actions of the 14 Public Safety officers being recognized. Holder also introduces Vice President Joseph Biden who speaks about lives saved, comrades lost, and courage in the face of frightening circumstances. Bideon also promises Whitehouse support of firefighters and police. Robinson introduces the award recipients.
