Halloween postcard printed with an embossed illustration of a witch and a black cat in the woods, standing beside a cauldron that is surrounded by ghosts, as two bats fly overhead. "Beware your fate is in your own hands," and "Halloween greetings," are printed on the recto. A message, addressed to Miss Roberta Austin of 14th Avenue and postmarked October 12, 1911, is handwritten on the verso: Just take notice: The L.C.S. will celebrate Halloween Oct. 31 with a "Little Girls" doll donated [sic] party at the home of Sarah[?] Stokes. Dress as a child & bring a doll. Dolls donated to be sent to needy children. 7:30 PM
