Hekman Biscuit Company

Notes:

The Hekman Biscuit Company factory was located at 1363-1365 Grandville Ave. SW between 1908 and 1949. The company subsequently operated from a newer and larger facility on 28th Street. Edsko Hekman was a baker in the Netherlands before immigrating to Grand Rapids and taking up the trade here, eventually passing the business to his sons. He and his sons also founded the Hekman Furniture Company.
