Ushabti; Shabti; Faience; Pinudjem II

Notes:
Faience ushabti with painted details and an inscription. This ushabti and 1971.02.0170, were made for the burial of Pinudjem, a high priest of Amun. The text on each is from chapter six of the Book of the Dead, and translates as follows:; "Illumintating the High Priest of Amun, Pinudjem, true of voice. May he say: O this ushabti! If the late Pinudjem is assigned any work that is to be done in the god's domain—to make the fields grow, to irrigate the banks, to carry sand from the east to the west—you will say 'I am here'"
