Stebbins Large Files

Description:

This series of the Stebbins Real Estate Collection is the second largest portion of the materials, consisting of 27 boxes of address files. Materials are organized by street address. This series has been indexed by the names of the streets included, so a search of real estate collections should include consultation of these boxes to see if a given address is included. Cross referencing from the Stebbins Standard Card Files has been done. A typical address file will include at least one of the following: -Sales listing sheet, detailing the structure, lot, location, any notes on showing the property for agents, notes on sale price and date. -Correspondence with seller or others -Sketch of neighborhood/plat section, or sketch of property -Newspaper clippings (classified advertisements or articles) -Sales agent solicitation records -Rental property information -Vacant property information Photographs and negatives are rarely found in this series.
