Three Piece Taffeta Party Dress with Lace Jacket, 1938

Description:: Three piece rose taffeta party dress. Neck of dress is accentuated with rose lace and lace flowers. Over jacket of white re-embroidered lace and gold threads in bolero length. Additional accent of rose lace attached to shoulder. Dress has pink slip. This garment was owned by Matilda Dodge Wilson (October 19, 1883 – September 19, 1967),who was the wife of John Francis Dodge (October 25, 1864 – January 14, 1920), co-founder of the Dodge Motor Car Company in Detroit, Michigan.
