Kar, wearing an apron and bowtie, poses in the doorway beside a small child and a man in a dark vest and hat. Two barbers, presumably Bela Benko and Charles Havasi, pose in front of the steps to their business below street level in the same building. A group of people stand on the sidewalk to the far right of the frame. A young child peers through the bar windows on the building's second floor. "John Kar Saloon 2166 W. Jefferson, Near Anderson front of Saloon 1910. John Kar with apron," is handwritten on the verso.

- Sepia-toned photo of three employees of the Merchants Credit Bureau--Estelle Koehler, Judie Strandburg, and Marion Maus, as indicated by a handwritten notes on both the recto and verso--kneeling in winter coats of the roof of the Merchants Building, on the east corner of Grand River Avenue and Broadway Avenue. Snow has accumulated on the roof's surfaces. The caption, "Coldest in Six Years," has been handwritten at the bottom of the recto. "1923," is handwritten on the verso. The remnants of stripes used to affix the photo in an album are on the corners.

From left to right, the group consists of Henry Ford, Horatio N. Hovey, Hugh Wallace, James McKay, George Barbour, Richard Webber, William Livingstone, Augustus C. Stellwagon, R.H. Fyfe, Bethune Duffield, Charles A. Warren (taken from another photo and inserted into this one as if he were kneeling behind the chair), Marshall Godfrey, and William Livingstone, Jr. The photo is mounted on brown cardstock.

- Black and white panoramic group portrait photograph taken of employees of Northern Engineering Works on Boblo Island for a picnic in August of 1917. The large group includes women, men, and children, and among them are several picnickers wearing ribbons on their lapels, a brass band of men in naval uniforms, and three children in sailor outfits posed in the center of the group. Two picnic pavilions are visible among the trees in the background. "R. Woodruff #162," is handwritten on the verso. A handwritten note which was previously paperclipped to the photo read: Northern Engineering Works Picnic on Boblo Island Aug. 1917 Dorothy 4 yrs of age Beatrice 2 yrs of age Hazel (in Mother's arms in center of picture) was about 8 months of age (Hazel born 1-4-1917)
