- Mohawk Tire Sales was at 418-420 North Washington Avenue. The building to the left, that is, north, is thought to be Bradley's Lounge based on the 1958 City Directory. No signs, however, are legible in the photo. Three doors are seen below a sign, "Entrance to Dancing." The city directory describes the Lounge as a beer garden with no mention of dancing, nor is dancing mentioned anywhere else in the area.

Working south from East Shiawassee: Winkin' Pup Bar at 338, Leonard Wholesale Distributing storage at 334, Larry's Lunch at 332, Town Pump Bar at 328, American Cleaners at 326 and Leonard Wholesale Distributing at 322 North Washington Avenue. City Planning Division staff trimmed two photographs to make this composite. Because the images were taken at different times, automobiles seen in one portion are absent from the other.
