Two spans of the bridge remain standing on the right edge of the frame. One of the bridge's piers stands in the river on the left. Several passenger ferries, canoes, and sailboats are on the river. The Detroit Boat Club stands on the shore on the right, and the Conners Creek Electric Power Plant is under construction in the background.

Four of the bridges piers are visible along the river, no longer bearing the bridge. Closer to the shore, part of one of the spans has collapsed into the water. In the background, along the riverfront, the roller coasters and pavilions of Electric Park, are visible, as is the Philip Kling Brewing Company, and a sign for Stegmeyer's ferry.
