Prominent buildings are visible in the background and are identified in small white printed text along the bottom of the postcard. These include the Whitney Building, Hotel Statler, Hotel Tuller, and the Kresge Building. Additional small white printed text in the lower right corner of the card reads "© '14 by C. R. Messinger." A black ink stamp on the verso shows a postmark of "Sep. 3, 1914."
