- Certificate, mounted on linen, issued by the Board of Pharmacy of the State of Michigan on December 18, 1893, declaring that Henry Reinhold of Detroit has been recognized as a registered assistant pharmacist for 1894. The certificate is signed by organization president Ottmar Eberbach, Charles A. Bugber, James Vernor, George Gundrum, and Stanley E. Pauhill. A red seal of the state of Michigan is affixed to the lower left corner. The certificate also bears the mark of the Calvert Lithograph Company of Detroit.

- One certificate. The certificate is printed in black ink on heavy paper and was issued as a resolution by the Board of Aldermen of the City of Detroit to commemorate the death of "Thomas A. Hendricks" who was "from the front rank of prominent men of this generation." The number, "104," is shown at the top of the certificate. In the lower right corner, the certificate has been dated December 5, 1885, and signed by "Alex. A. Langer, City Clerk." An embossed, gold-colored seal with ribbon has been affixed to the certificate in the lower left corner.

- Certificate, receiving Russell A. Alger as a Companion of the First Class of the Military Order of the Loyal Legion of the United States, issued on November 5, 1884. The certificate contains the seal of the Military Order of the Loyal Legion of the United States on the lower left, and is signed by John P. Nicholson, Recorder-in-Chief, and Winfield Scott Hancock, Commander-in-Chief. The certificate is mounted on linen. The full text of the certificate is as follows: "The Commandery-in-Chief, To all to whom these Presents shall Come, Greeting: Know ye, That Russell Alexander Alger, Col. 5th Mich. Cav. Brev. Maj. Genl. U.S.N. Having been specially distinguished for faithful services in maintaining the honor, integrity and supremacy of the Government of the United States of America, was received as a Companion of the First Class of the Military Order of the Loyal Legion of the United States, on the Fifth day of November Anno Domini one thousand eight hundred and eighty-four through the Commandery of the State of Massachusetts. In Testimony Whereof, the names of the proper Officers and the Seal of the Order are hereunto affixed. Given at Philadelphia, this Fifth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty-four and of the Independence of the United States of America the One hundred and ninth and of the Order the Twentieth. - Certificate appointing Edward Edgar Hartwick as a Noble of the Mystic Shrine in the Moslem Temple of Detroit, dated October 30, 1903. The text of the certificate is as follows: "The Imperial Council of the Ancient Arabic Order of the Nobles of the Mystic Shrine for North America To all True and Faithful Nobles of the Mystic Shrine: Know Ye that the Worthy Noble Edward Edgar Hartwick who hath signed his Name in the margin hereof, was regularly Received, Admitted and Constituted A Noble of the Mystic Shrine in Moslem Temple of Detroit, Mich, on the 30th day of Oct. 1903 and that he is duly Enrolled as such upon the Records of the Order. In Testimony Whereof We have hereunto subscribed our Names, and affixed the Seal of The Imperial Council for North America." The certificate is signed by the Imperial Recorder, the Imperial Potentate, and the Recorder of the Moslem Temple. The gold seal of the Moslem Temple of Detroit is affixed to the bottom center.

- Membership certificate, designed by the Calvert Lithographing Company, from the Michigan Soldiers' Monument Union, awarded to William Monroe by the Schools of Michigan in exchange for his donation of 10 cents toward the construction of the Michigan Soldiers' and Sailors' Monument. The design includes a central image of two women, three uniformed soldiers, and a dog mourning around a flag-draped casket. Battlefield scenes decorate the corners of the borders.

- One certificate of gratitude. The certificate is handwritten in faded black ink on very yellowed heavy paper. An embossed seal of the "Eastern Michigan Asylum, Pontiac," and a red ribbon are attached near the lower left corner. The handwritten text of the certificate shows: "Eastern Michigan Asylum, Pontiac, December 28, 1891. At a meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Eastern Michigan Asylum held on the 28th day of December 1891, the following resolutions were offered by Trustee Baldwin: Resolved, that the thanks of the Board of Trustees of the Eastern Michigan Asylum be extended to the Fire Department of the City of Detroit for its prompt response to the call for aid at the calamitous fire of the 26th inst. [current month] and the alacrity with which an engine and a detachment of firemen were dispatched. Resolved, that we also extend to Captain Conklin and his men of Company 2 of the Detroit Fire Department sincere thanks for the earnest work, intrepidity, endurance, and skill manifested by them on the unfortunate occasion. Resolved, that a copy of these resolutions be properly engrossed and presented to the Detroit Fire Department. Which resolutions were adopted unanimously. C. B. Burr, Secretary; W. G. - Certificate appointing Charles Trowbridge to the position of Commissioner of Bail in and for the County of Wayne, signed by Lewis Cass, Governor, and William Woodbridge, Secretary, in 1821. The document is stamped with the great seal of the Michigan Territory. "Lewis Cass, Governor in and over the Territory of Michigan, To all to whome these Presents may come, Greeting: Know Ye, That reposing special trust and confidence in the integrity and ability of Charles C. Trowbridge Esquire I have appointed him a Commissioner of Bail in and for the County of Wayne and do hereby authorize and empower him to execute and fulfill the duties of that office according to the law: To have and to hold the said Office, with all the rights, privileges, and emoluments thereunto belonging, during the pleasure of the Governor of the said Territory, for the time being. In Testimony whereof, I have caused these Letters to be made Patent, and the Great Seal of the said Territory to be hereunto affixed. Given under my Hand, at Detroit, this Sixth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and Twenty one, and of the Independence of the United States of America the Forty fifth. By the Governor: Lewis Cass William Woodbridge Secretary of Michigan Territory." The verso contains handwritten declarations from Charles Trowbridge and J.D. Dory, Justice of the Peace, reading as follows: "I Charles C. Trowbridge, having been appointed a Commissioner of Bail in and for the County of Wayne, do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the duties of said Office. So help me God. Charles C. Trowbridge County of Wayne Be it remembered, that on the seventeenth day of January, One thousand eight hundred and twenty one, personally came before me the above named Charles C. Trowbridge, and took and subscribed the foregoing oath in my presence. J.D. Dory, Justice of the Peace, Wayne County."

- Certificate issued on February 26, 1846, by the Mayor, Recorder, and Aldermen of the City of Detroit, quitting a claim of land given to Peter J. Desnoyers, which was deeded on September 15, 1829, due to the fact that the deed described "by reason of erroneous courses and boundaries, a parcel of ground other than that intended." The certificate is signed by John R. Williams, Mayor of Detroit, E.A. Brush, Recorder, and ten Aldermen, among them J. Owen, F. Buhl, B. Wight, William Barclay, Benjamin B. Moore, Peter Desnoyers, Oliver M. Hyde, C.R. Desnoyers, and B. Woodworth.
