- Sepia-toned photograph taken to document the effort to set a new record time for boat construction through the manufacture of Eagle Boat No. 59. A large work gang poses beside the keel, which has some bilge plates attached, within building "B" of the Ford River Rouge Factory Complex. The time of photo is 7:30 am. Three overhead cranes are positioned to assist in the record try. The crane in the foreground has a sign, that reads, "Pawling & Harnischfeler Co., Milwaukee, Wis., 5 ton, No.5444." - Sepia-toned photograph depicting the manufacture of the Eagle Pattern Boat at the Ford Highland Park Factory, as viewed from a point above its bow facing aft. Small two-wheeled carts are along its starboard side. Along its port side near the bottom of the frame is a worker at a desk. The pattern boat was disassembled and taken to the Ford River Rouge Factory where each piece was used as template for manufacturing other Eagle Boats. A total of 60 Eagle Boats were built.
