- Mailer menu from the Hotel Ste. Claire, dated Monday, December 26, 1910. The menu unfolds from an envelope shape with green borders. The hotel's crest and the name of its proprietor John R. Stirling are printed on the flap.

- Description:
- Breakfast menu card from the Hotel Pontchartrain, dated January 20, 1918. The recto lists fruit, beverages, cereals, eggs, oysters, fish, specials, steaks and chops, and potatoes. The verso declares that the hotel is a member of the United States Food Administration, and urges the conservation of food for the war effort. Additionally, a disclaimer on the verso cautions that the management declines responsibility to damage to clothing caused by accidents in the dining room.

A sign reads, "Canadian Pacific". Printed on verso: Pontchartrain Hotel and Hammond Building, Detroit, Mich. This View of Campus Martius shows the Hotel Pontchartrain. Soldiers and Sailors Monument built in 1881 at a cost of $70,000. The red building at right is the Hammond Building. The electric sign on top of building is one of the finest in the west and when in action gives a description of the famous Chariot Race of Ben Hur. Handwritten message on verso, postmarked Dec 6, 1916.
