- One navigational chart entitled, "Chart No. 1 of River Ste. Marie from Point Iroquois to East Neebish." The area was "Surveyed under the direction of Captain J. N. Macomb, Topl. Engrs. [Topographical Engineers] in 1853, 1854, & 1855, with additions to date under the orders of Captain G. G. Meade, Topl. Engrs., 1857." The chart was drawn at a scale of 1:40,000 and covers several miles of the St. Mary's River both upstream and downstream of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, with information such as soundings in feet, river bottom characteristics, shoreline details, lighthouses, and sailing directions. The chart was printed in black ink on white paper and was published by the Bureau of Topographical Engineers of the War Department (later known as the Army Corps of Engineers). Small printed text in the lower right corner shows "Engraved by W. H. Dougal." Small printed text in the lower left corner shows "Reduced for Engraving by J. U. Mueller." An adhesive label on the left side shows "Detroit, Mar. 5th, 1884, Presented to the Tug, Chas. E. Bird."

The map was prepared by the Department of the Interior, Canada, at a scale of 1:250,000 and is dated 1912. The map includes details such as lakes, rivers, cities, towns, roads, railroads, Indian reservations, and some elevations as well as township names, township boundaries, concession and section numbers. Water areas are shaded pale green and land areas are white with pale red lines along the Lake Superior, St. Mary's River, and Lake Huron shorelines.
