- Staple-bound booklet from the Department of Buildings and Safety Equipment containing rules governing inflammable liquids in the city of Detroit, dated March 1, 1920. The book is bound in a dark green cover. "Chief Martin Cooney, Sct of Horses," is handwritten inside the cover.

- Color postcard depicting the steamer PLEASURE docked at the foot of Woodward Avenue. A sign on the boat reads "Pleasure" and a sign on the dock reads "Moonlight To-Night, Steamer Columbia, 8:30 to 11:30, 35¢". In the foreground is a car and a person on a bicycle. Printed on verso: Belle Isle Pleasure Boat. A favorite method of access to Belle Isle, Detroit's principal pleasure ground, is by steamer, and boats leave regularly from convenient wharves, for the big pier at "The Island." The scene shows one of the large steamers of the Detroit Belle Isle and Windsor Ferry Co., leaving the foot of Woodward Avenue for Belle Isle, band playing and picknickers [sic] thronging the decks. Handwritten message on verso, postmarked Aug 19, 1915.

- Sepia-toned photograph taken to document the effort to set a new record time for boat construction through the manufacture of Eagle Boat No. 59, of the boat's pilothouse being put on after it has been partially rolled out the door of building "B" at the Ford River Rouge Factory Complex, as viewed from the ground off of its starboard side. The boat with the pilothouse would exceed the clearance of the door, so it is held above where it is to be attached by posts through its portholes connect to two poles which are anchored by ropes to the ground and the side of the building. A group of spectators watch the workers from below. A sign posted on the side of the boat reads, "Eagle No. 59, World Record, Built in 10 Days." "8B1," and "26406," are handwritten on the verso. The photo is mounted on a linen backing.

- Sepia-toned portrait photo of Jacob Guthard of Company H of the 9th Michigan Volunteer Infantry Regiment during the Civil War, housed inside a beige cardstock folder. Guthard is pictured in an oval-shaped head and shoulders portrait wearing a jacket, tie, and kepi hat with an "H" insignia pin. The folder's cover bears an embossed image of a coat of arms, and the handwritten note, "Company H 9th Michigan; Volunteer Infantry; July 1862; Jacob Guthard." "Picture of Jacob Guthard of the age of seventeen as a bugler of his company. Property of Mrs. W. J. Strudley 3019 McClellan Ave; Detroit Michigan" is handwritten on the back cover.

- Program from the laying of the corner stone of Central High School on May 13th, 1895. Included an addresses by Hon. Hazen S. Pingree and Dr. John E. Clark. Attached to the inside of the front cover are leaves taken from a wreath that was decorating the cornerstone of the building, and a note written by Harry B. Kellogg.

- Detroit Fire Department active duty certificate, engraved by Capewell and Kimmel, and issued to Charles L. McMichael, foreman of Phoenix Company No. 5, on March 29, 1861. The document bears the signatures of President Benjamin Vernor, Treasurer Robert McMillan, and Secretary Henry Starkey, beside a green embossed Fire Department of the City of Detroit seal. Illustrations of uniformed firefighters, an early fire apparatus and firefighting equipment, the seal of the State of Michigan, and Neptune flanked by two winged monsters are bordered by scrollwork. The certificate has been mounted on linen.
