- Image shows large squared-off brick building, with fancy brickwork around curved-top windows and a short tower on one of the front corners. The tower is topped with a white railing and a miniature steeple in one corner of the railing. The building has a large front entrance, two steps up, with white wooden doors. An old wooden shed can be seen on the left side of the building at some distance across snowy terrain.

- Burton Height Christian Reformed Church, at the corner of Burton and Jefferson S.E., built in 1922. Along the lower edge of the image can be seen a highway sign for “Michigan US 131,” a public mailbox, and the street sign for Burton and Jefferson. Utility wires for the streetcar criss-cross overhead.

- Bethel Christian Reformed Church, 728 Shamrock SW, built in 1914. The 2011 city directory shows that the building is owned by the Wyoming Spanish Seventh Day Adventist congregation.

- Notes:
- Wealthy Street Baptist Church at 501 Wealthy St. SE. is a huge, three-story building that resembles a civic building rather than a church, built in 1912. Lettering on the cornerstone is "Wealthy Street Baptist Temple." The congregation moved from this building in 1982. The 2011 city directory shows that Community Bible Baptist Church occupies the building.

- Scribner Avenue Baptist Church located at 1236 Scribner Ave. NW. The sign on the building reads “Scribner St. Baptist Church, 1881.” A free standing information sign says: "Summer Schedule; Sunday School, 9:45 A.M., Church 11 A.M., Prayer Meeting, Wednesday, 7:45 P.M., V.N. Robbins, Pastor, 1334 Turner Ave" They moved out of this building in 1961, when it was razed to make way for U.S. 131 expressway.

- Methodist Church located at Barclay and Fulton N.E. in the summer, with cars parked along the street in front of and beside the church. A yard sign at the far left of the image says “Greenhoe and Hatch, Funeral Directors”. Traditional style church of light-colored brick, with Gothic windows and doors and a large central tower at front entrance.

- Franklin Christian Reformed Church, at the corner of Franklin and Oakland S.W., built in 1921. In 2011 City Directory, the building housed the Spanish Church of God congregation.
