A striped RR crossing sign with flashing lights stands in the middle of the street, Visible are houses in the 1500 block of Eastern, and house on Cottage Grove Street, and J. Mollema Fuel Co. and Leatherman Fuel Co. building and yard with piles of firewood and coal, and trucks. On the street are autos and city bus from 1937.

- View shows Lake Drive SE, west of Wealthy St SE, in the Eastown neighborhood, Grand Rapids, Michigan. The photo shows Berger Chevrolet on the north side of the street. This building now houses the Eastown branch of the U.S. Postal Service. On the south side of the street is Muir-Doolittle insurance agency, which now is the home of Gallery 154, and the Eastown Theatre, which is now the Uptown Assembly of God.

- The "electric policeman" installed in 1930 on Fulton St. The view looks east, at the intersection of Fulton and Lake Drive. Hanging above the intersection are two new traffic signals marked “Straight” and “Right”. Each light has 3 lamps, arranged horizontally. Route signs on the utility poles identify Fulton as M-37 (Hastings) and M-21 (Ionia) and Lake Drive as US-16 & M-50. A stationary vehicle is stopped on Lake Drive. Streetcar tracks in the brick pavement can be seen running down Fulton.
