- B&W image of the northeast corner of Woodward and Maple. Shops with awnings. The National Hotel is on the left. Three people stand in the street. Dark horse and buggy, white horse and buggy wait in the street. Utility poles and wires can be seen. Real photo postcard, stamped Azo 4, manufactured by Eastman Kodak Co. (circa 1907). Photographer was Louis James Pesha, a Canadian who owned Pesha Postcard Company in Marine City, Michigan. He was known for his photographs of the Great Lakes region. Reference: Buel, G. & Buel, S. - This postcard was purchased by Todd Kilroy in July of 1982 at a Harrisonburg, Virginia antique shop. On recto, it bears a picture of the Oakland County Court House completed in 1905. The architect for the building was Joseph E. Mills and the building was constructed by John G. Schmidt.
