- Detroit Fire Department active duty certificate, engraved by Capewell and Kimmel, and issued to J. Wolf on September 27, 1858. The document bears the signatures of President Robert E. Roberts, Treasurer Alexander Paton, and Secretary Benjamin Vernor, beside a green embossed Fire Department of the City of Detroit seal. Hand-colored illustrations of uniformed firefighters, an early fire apparatus and firefighting equipment, the seal of the State of Michigan, and Neptune flanked by two winged monsters are bordered by scrollwork. Stars have been added around the top edge of the central circle motif. The certificate has been mounted on linen.

The certificate is signed by the society's president, Bryant Walker, and secretary of director, Richard E. Follett. The document is printed on parchment and features an engraving of a bison, as well as the header, "Detroit Zoological Society, Founded in 1911 for Establishment of a Zoological Park and the Preservation of Wild Animal Life."

- One hardcover booklet entitled "Lake Carriers' Association Certificate of Membership in Welfare Plan and Discharges." The pocket-size booklet has a dark blue/black cloth cover with white title text. Printed text on the inside front cover indicates that Paul Condon, a Fireman, was enrolled in the benefit plan. The membership certificate "No. 160867" was issued at Duluth on May 15, 1922. The booklet contains 14 pages of blank lines that were to be filled in by ship officers to indicate the name of the vessel on which the seaman had served, rating, and dates of service. Several lines have been completed in handwritten text that show Great Lakes ship service details from June, 1922, to September, 1925.

- Large membership certificate presented by the Knights Templar to William S. Green on March 31, 1873. The document is signed by Commander Eil Garfield, Captain General Euyen Robinson, recorder G.B. Noble, and a Generalissimo whose name has faded. The certificate includes lithographs of knights, a temple, ceremonial robes and swords, and a coffin, as well as a green Knights Templar seal attached by a black ribbon.

- Certificate certifying William J. Higham as a member of the parade committee during Detroit's bi-centenary celebrations. The heading at the top of the certificate reads "BI-CENTENARY of the founding of Detroit," and indicates that the celebration took place "July 24-25-26th," 1901. A drawing under the header depicts Cadillac landing at Detroit in 1701. The text of the certificate reads: "A Memento of the celebration of the Bi-Centenary of the founding of the City of Detroit. This is to Certify that William J. Higham was a member of the Parade Committee." Signature on the bottom right of the certificate reads "William C. Maybury," followed by the printed text "Chairman General Executive Committee." The bottom left corner of the certificate is embossed and foil stamped with the seal of the Mayor of the City of Detroit.
