- Color poster for theatrical productions at Whitney's Grand Opera House, Friday, August 13, 1880. The text of the poster is as follows: "Whitney's Grand Opera House Friday Eve., Aug. 13, '80 Grand Complimentary Testimonial to Mr. Lloyd Brezee Tendered to him by the popular organization, the Detroit Light Infantry On Which Occasion Mr. Brezee will appear as 'Elliott Grey' In Lester Wallack's beautiful Romantic Drama in 5 acts, entitled ROSEDALE Or, the Rifle Ball. Additional interest will be given to the occasion by the debut of Miss Mae Clark Of this City, who, during the past year has been the pupil of eminent Dramatic Tutors in N.Y. Through the courtesy of Mr. Wm. M. Conner, Manager for John McCullough, the eminent Artist, John A. Lane Will appear as his original creation, 'Mathew Leigh.' The Popular Members of John McCullough's Company, Messrs. W.A. McConnell and Harry C. Barton Together with the leading Amateur Actors of the City, who will also assist. W.A. McConnell will manage the stage and direct the performance. His long and thorough acquaintance with the Drama assures most satisfactory results." The cast of the play is then listed, followed by a listing of prices, along with the instructions "Seats reserved without extra charge on and after Tuesday, August 10, at C.J. Whitney's Music Store." The poster was printed by the Post and Tribune Job Printing Co., located at 42 Larned St. West, Detroit.
