Inscribed on photo back: Packard's new luxury hardtop model, this completely restyled Packard 400 is the newest hardtop entry in the luxury car field for 1955, in addition to its new exterior styling, the 1955 Packard features torsion level ride, a dramatic new suspension system which eliminates customary coil and leaf springs, but instead uses long torsion bars interconnecting the front and rear wheels, the Packard 400 is powered by a new 260-horsepower V-8 engine, both the new Packard and 1955 model Clipper lines of cars will have their public announcement in dealer showrooms the week of January 17.
