- Abstract of Title prepared by the Burton Abstract and Title Company concerning "Out Lot 3 of the Dennis J. and Theodore J. Campau Plat" located in Sections 29 and 32 of Township 1 South, Range 12 East, Wayne County, Michigan. The subject property contains approximately 266 acres in Hamtramck Township which is now part of the City of Hamtramck. The document package consists of approximately 100 pages of typewritten text and printed forms which trace the chain of land ownership from Joseph Campau, who purchased the land from the Land Office in Detroit in 1822. The abstract traces the property ownership transfers through the 1860's to various persons including he heirs of Joseph Campau. The pages are bound at the top with a pale red woven cord.

"More Campau Lore. Son of Joseph Campau, Theodore Campau. Portrait on right wall is Nora, his wife, in their Jefferson Avenue home, Detroit" is handwritten on the verso. Portrait on left is Adelaide Campau (DeQuindre), his mother.
