- Lansing Centennial of Transportation parade. The "traveling jail" Model T paddywagon with a Brothers of the Brush logo on the door. Brothers of the Brush made appearances all over the United States for city centennials in the 20th century, and usually each city held some kind of facial hair growing or shaving contest during centennial celebrations. Sometimes the Brothers would "arrest" any man without a beard and place him in the jail. The Consumers Power Company offices are in the background. Originally part of the Carl Dalrymple Collection.

- Note on back of photo: "A log cabin, symbol of a by gone day, stood on the site where the Federal Building stood during the first half of the century. The newly constructed City Hall and police wing served as a backdrop for the Centennial events. The razing of the old City Hall progressed during the celebrations. The 40&8 'Train' was entering the picture from the right." This may have been part of the Lansing Centennial of Transportation parade in May 1959 or another of the city's centennial parades that happened that year. This was one of three versions of the Firebird concept car that were featured in the parade.
