- Color postcard depicting an elevated view of W Fort Street, facing west from Woodward Avenue. In view are many pedestrians, the Bagley Memorial Fountain, Hammond Building, Post Office, and City Hall. Signs read "Pere Marquette", "Canadian Pacific", and "D & C Lines". Printed on verso: Fort Street West is one of the leading business thoroughfares of Detroit. It connects the heart of the city with the immense manufacturing establishments in Delray. Cars leave its foot of Woodward Avenue for Woodmere, the Fort Wayne Barracks, Delray, Ecorse, Wyandotte, Trenton, Monroe, and Toledo. Handwritten message on verso, postmarked Sep 6, 1909.

- One "List of Articles Deposited in the Corner Stone of the New City Hall, This Sixth Day of August, 1868." The list is handwritten in black ink on one side of a folded sheet of paper. It appears that this list was kept in separate city files and was not deposited in the cornerstone box since it was not among the items that were inventoried inside object 1961.282.001.

Printed on verso: The view shows the highest and largest Office Building in Michigan. The Dime Bank in rear of City Hall is 23 stories high and contains 1000 offices. The other white building is the Ford and contains 559 offices and is 19 stories high. The Hammond and Penobscot Buildings are at left of City Hall. Handwritten message on verso, dated Dec 10, 1915.
