The bridge leading to the club house, the feet of the club's docks on the eastern side of the building, and several small sailboats are visible. A portion of the Belle Isle Bridge is in the background of the left side of the photo, and the riverfront of Detroit is in the distance on the right. "The Detroit Boat Club, Belle Isle, 1914," is handwritten on the verso.

- Black and white panoramic photo of a rowing scull race on the Detroit River as viewed from the Belle Isle Bridge near the Detroit Boat Club. The Boat Club is visible in the background. Many spectators can be seen on the bridge, in various large and small boats adjacent to the course, and on the shore. The photo is mounted under glass in a 1" wide wood frame that has been painted black. The paper backing of the framed photo is torn. A label is glued to the back of the frame which notes, "HA 9-5779, Cave's Mirror and Glass Shop, Picture Framing, Fine Prints, Mirrors, Glass Furniture Tops; 3 King's Highway East, Haddonfield, N.J." On one side of the paper backing, the year, "1909," is written in black ink.
