- This yellowed paper envelope contained a 12-page letter and several clippings that were prepared by Bertram C. Whitney who was the manager of the Detroit Opera House. The envelope has a handwritten title, "The Stage," and "A Short History of the Theatricals in Detroit, 1800 to 1901." It is signed "B. C. Whitney" on the right side.

- Postcard. Color postcard entitled "Campus Martius, Detroit, Mich." The elevated view shows a busy street scene at the intersection of Woodward Avenue (lower left), Monroe Street (upper right), and Cadillac Square (right). Pedestrians, streetcars, horse-drawn carriages, and the Soldiers and Sailors Monument are visible in the image. The Detroit Opera House and Wonderland Vaudeville can be seen in the left center area of the image. Printed text on the verso shows "No. C10740 Published by the Detroit News Company, Detroit, Mich. Dresden-Leipzig-Berlin, Made in Germany." The date of the postcard is based upon the postmark date.

Color postcard depicting aerial view of the Soldiers and Sailors Monument in the center foreground, the Merrill Fountain is in the central foreground, and the Detroit Opera House is directly behind. Wonderland Vaudeville is depicted to the right of the opera house. The thoroughfares are aligned with streetcars, pedestrians and horse carriages. A note is written on the verso to Miss Florence Ward of Alanson, Mich. The date of the postcard is determined by the postmark, not when it was produced.
