- Black and white print negative of a photograph and caption clipped from the March 18, 1934 Detroit News, depicting a row of storefronts on the east side of Woodward Avenue, near John R Street in 1899. Caption reads: WOODWARD AVENUE (east side), in 1899. F.J. Schwanovsky music house at John R. corner. D.D. Spellman photographic studio on second floor. Adjoining was Baron & McBean, mantels, grates and tiles. A.T. Knowlson's next. Also pictured are the storefronts for C.M. Hayes and Company, Photographers, and Jewel Gas Ranges and Gas Heaters. A horse-drawn sleigh and a horse carriage are in the street.

- One lithograph copy of a plat map entitled "Plat of the City of Detroit as Laid Out by the Govr. and Judges." The plat is printed in black ink on white paper and shows the layout of property lines, lot lines, and right-of-way lines in downtown Detroit. Lot numbers, lot dimensions, right-of-way dimensions, and street names are also shown. Bearings are shown along the right-of-way lines of several principal streets including Michigan Avenue, Washington Grand Avenue, Miami Avenue, Monroe Avenue, Jefferson Avenue, and Woodward Avenue. The plat was drawn at a scale of 1 inch = 250 feet. A note in the lower left corner shows "I certify that this Plat contains a correct Plan of the City of Detroit so far as the materials in my possession have enabled me to prepare the same. Detroit, Jany. 8th 1831, Wayne County, Mich. Terry., John Farmer." Small printed text in the lower right corner shows "Bowen & Co., Lith., Philada."

- Black and white print negative depicting the exterior of Buhl, Sons, and Company Hardware, Iron, and Nails, which is a large four story building located on the south side of Woodbridge Street, west of Wayne Street. A cigar store Indian stands at the lower left corner of the image. Verso also notes that this was taken in 1881 and was originally sepia. Border of mounting from the original photo this was reproduced from has been captured as well.

- Sepia-toned photograph taken of the exterior of the saloon belonging to Charles Abbs at 23 Woodward Avenue, as well as the adjacent building containing another saloon belonging to H.W. Mosier, as taken from the east side of Woodward Avenue, south of Atwater Street. Both are decorated for Cadillaqua. Flags and patriotic banners have been hung on the buildings, and a sign reading, "Welcome Cadillaqua Visitors," has been hung from the awning above Mosier's storefront. Part of the J.T. Wing and Company building is visible on the left side of the frame. Several pedestrians are on the sidewalk in front of the businesses. The streets in the foreground are paved with bricks, and contain streetcar rails. "Celebration cadillaqua week." has been typewritten along the top of the photo, and "Father's place of business," has been handwritten in pencil along the bottom edge.

- Half-tone print of an artistic rendition of a bird's-eye view of Detroit in 1908, and a black and white photographic print of it hung on a wood-paneled wall. The caption above the image reads, "Detroit 1908-Same Area As View Above." Below the image, "What Detroit has accomplished in the past, is the best evidence of its future prosperity" is printed. The pictured print depicts downtown Detroit, and areas to the west, rough from Fourth Street to Raynor Street, and State Street to the Detroit River. Visible landmarks include the Wayne County Building, Cadillac Square, Campus Martius, the Majestic Building, City Hall, the Pontchartrain Hotel, the Post Office at Fort and Shelby, and the Ford Building. Several steamships, including those of the Detroit and Cleveland Navigation Company, the COLUMBIA, and the LANSDOWNE are pictured at dock or under steam. - Black and white photo of the exterior of the Theatre Comique as taken from a slightly elevated position across Broadway Street, facing southwest. A crowd is gathered in the street in front of the theater around an ornate carriage driven by a man wearing a high peaked hat, and carrying a pair of passengers in dress jackets and turbans, as part of a circus parade. A sign on the top of the carriage reads, "India." A Model T is parked in the foreground. Signs on the facade of the Theatre Comique declare, "Best show in town for the money," "Stay as long as you like," and "High class continuous performance." The Kaiserhof is visible on the left side of the theatre. Signs are posted on the building to the right, on the corner of Broadway and Gratiot Avenue for the Fisher Kline Company, photographers; Union Cut Rate Dentists; John Verbist, cigars, tobacco, candy and fruit; and the Gothic bar. Along the north side of Gratiot, Lou H. Weitz, clothier; and the Library Tea Store are visible. "28," is handwritten at the upper right corner of the recto and "1909," is handwritten on the verso.

- Print. Sepia-toned photographic print taken from the southwest corner of Woodward Avenue and Jefferson Avenue, facing northwest. A horse and cart are inside the intersection at the lower right. Across Jefferson, on the west side of Woodward is a four story building occupied by A.C. McGraw and Company, Wholesale and Retail Boots and Shoes. Along the east side of Woodward, signs are posted for Aetna Insurance, a wholesale hat, cap, and fur store, another shoe store, a crockery store, D.B. Nichols and Company, and a carpet store. Faint impressions of several pedestrians who moved through the frame during the exposure are visible.

The view looks northward along Woodward Avenue with the Old City Hall and Majestic Building on the left side of the image and Campus Martius and the Soldiers and Sailors Monument to the right. Pedestrians, streetcars, and several automobiles are also visible. The Detroit Opera House and Wonderland Vaudeville can be seen in the right background. The date of the postcard is based upon the postmark date.

- Mounted, sepia-toned photographic print depicting the construction of the Central Market Building in Campus Martius on Michigan Grand Avenue or Cadillac Square. Before it stands the Michigan Soldiers' and Sailors' Monument, missing the eagle statues on its lowest pedestals. To the left of the Central Market building is McLennan and Company Dry Goods. On the opposite side is the Russell House, which also houses M. Horowitz and Company Crockery, and the Russell House Bazaar. A business advertising "wholesale liquors," is visible further down Cadillac. The photo is mounted on beige cardstock and has "1880" written on the verso.
