- Prolific author and poet, retired Michigan State University Professor Hugh B. Fox talks about his early family life in Chicago and his writing career. Fox explains how he became acquainted with theater, music, and ballet at a young age and how he was forced into medical school, but later abandoned it to pursue the liberal arts and writing. Fox talks about his many interests including archeology, and his treatise on author and friend Charles Bukowski. Fox is interviewed by Kara Gust for the Michigan State University Libraries' Michigan Writers Series.

- Dr. Christine Marin, Professor and Archivist Emerita from Arizona State University is interviewed by Sheila M. Contreras, Associate Professor of English and Director of the Chicano/Latino Studies Program at Michigan State University. Marin talks about the the movie "Salt of the Earth" and describes typical family dynamics during the strike, the roles women played and how they were empowered within labor organizations, living conditions, discrimination, and gender roles. Marin also provides a history of the Mexican-American struggle in Arizona from a working class to an educated class with growing ethnic pride. - Matthew Wojciechowski, a student at Michigan State University, discusses growing up in Dearborn Heights, MI, the community's middle class lifestyle, adjusting to the diversity at MSU, first selecting Engineering as his major to please and impress his father, and later switching to Graphic Design. He also talks about foreign students in his classes, the competitiveness he says that they bring, and how other students resent them, career possibilities in his major, conflicts with professors, managing college life, the dorm, and blowing off steam. He says that he aspires to be married with kids and living in a rural area while pursuing his profession.
