- Russian prisoners of war march past the Royal Palace through the streets of Berlin, probably in the process of changing trains for their prison camp assignments. Civilians on the street cars watch the Russian parade. The German caption for the photograph, "Russian Entry into Berlin," was intended to point the irony that a Russian invasion consisted of millions of Russians captured by the Germans on the Eastern Front.

- The Germans stored bags of clothing in this warehouse room in Zossen-Wuensdorf. Sometimes prisoners arrived in camp in clothing in such bad shape that it could not be cleaned and disinfected. As a result, the Germans maintained a supply of clothing, especially for destitute prisoners.

- British soldiers and sailors check out the the New Doeberitz Empire's early summer concert series (May 1915) on the bulletin board on the side of a barrack at Doeberitz. These bulletins provided POW's with camp news and official orders.

- The prison camp at Friedberg featured a small Russian Orthodox chapel, which included an altar and six icons on the wall. The altar is framed with plants and is decorated with flowers.

- This is the front page of "Le Camp de Goettingen" from the 15 March 1915 issue. This newspaper was published for the French-speaking prisoners of war in the prison camp at Goettingen and included articles on historical and social issues, as well as information on camp activities.

- French prisoners construct the barbed-wire enclosure which will surround their prison camp. Two POW's hold the reel of barbed-wire while another holds the wire in place with a pair of pliers. A civilian and his assist will nail the barbed-wire to the post.
