- Sepia-toned photograph depicting the manufacture of the Eagle Pattern Boat at the Ford Highland Park Factory, as viewed from a point above its stern facing forward. An attached gangway is visible along the boat's port side near the bottom edge of the frame. The pattern boat was disassembled and taken to the Ford River Rouge Factory where each piece was used as template for manufacturing other Eagle Boats. A total of 60 Eagle Boats were built. Lower left hand corner of photo has number and date of photo: 22818-8-14-18. Photo mounted on a linen backing.

Caption reads: This shows the original construction over the Dressler Kiln #1, looking north from the south end of the building. The building over Dressler Kiln #1 was not built until a much later date. This picture shows the original construction before much of the building was reinforced and steel columns used. This boat served as the pattern for all other Eagle Boats to be manufactured at the Ford Rouge Complex. This boat, after completion, was then disassembled and each was part given a code number and then used as a template for the other Eagle Boats.
