- President Bush addresses United States armed service personnel at the U.S. Command Center at MacDill Air Force Base in Florida. The President promises that the U.S. will be relentless in its pursuit of victory and that "a day of reckoning for the Iraqi Regime" is approaching. He also announces that a terrorist camp in northern Iraq, which held weapons of mass destruction, has been destroyed, that American troops have moved 200 miles in three days and that the Iraqi Republican Guard is currently under "direct and intensive" attack. The enemy, Bush says, is not the "good and gifted people of Iraq", but rather the "violent criminal gang" which rules the country, and that Iraqi people deserve to be citizens of a free country.
