- Typewritten letter and envelope sent by the J.L. Hudson Company to Mrs. William H. Johnston of 17 West Bethune Avenue, Detroit, Michigan, accompanying six halftone photographic images of women modeling clothing for the upcoming Fall season. The envelope is postmarked 1918. The letter is on J.L. Hudson Company stationery. The message reads: Dear Madam: We are presenting herewith a group of photographic reproductions of the newer models in Fall apparel. May we not have the pleasure of a personal visit in the near future and a further introduction into what we believe is appropriate in style and texture for the coming season? Yours very truly, The J.L. Hudson Co.

- Color postcard depicting the Hudson's Building and Pardridge & Blackwell Building from the intersection of Farmer and Monroe Streets. Business signs read "Johnson's Chop House", "P. & B.", and "Lume's Stag Hotel", with a streetcar, pedestrians, and horse-drawn vehicles visible. Printed on verso: Pardridge & Blackwell's and J.L. Hudson's Big Department Stores occupy opposite corners of Gratiot Avenue and Farmer Street. Both are department stores of the mot advanced type and occupy their own buildings, especially constructed for their own use, each taking up virtually half a complete city square. The corner which they occupy has often been termed the heart of Detroit's retail district. Handwritten message on verso, postmarked Jan 14, 1909.

- Staple-bound storybook, written by J. Henry Smythe, for the J.L. Hudson Company. The story concerns a young boy and girl who visit the toy department of the J.L. Hudson Company Department Store, and become inspired by Santa Claus' example to deliver gifts to their neighbors. The children and Prince are pictured on the cover, with their arms, and a sled filled with parcels. An advertisement for Hudson's Toyland section is printed on the back cover.
