- Black and white interior pages of Cruise entertainment publication featuring an article entitled, "Cruisin' Around: On the Road with Michael Ivan." The article highlights a new gay resort near Saugatuck, known as Douglas Dunes, and describes the food served, atmosphere, and the men who served drinks near the pool. Under the brief article is an advertisement for the video tape special of the week and the prices for The Irving Theatre. The right side of the publication includes classifieds, advertisements for services, personals, stuff for sale, and resorts. There is an advertisement for a Detroit night club called The Outlaws on the bottom right of the page.

- Correspondence from John Bennitt of Centreville, Michigan to his wife Charlotte, September 18 and 19, 1864. During this time, Bennitt describes the battles in Atlanta from the vantage point of the hospitals. The 20th Army Corps leaves Atlanta for Savannah. Bennitt_s request to the Cincinnati Army Medical Board to be examined for a surgical position in the Volunteer Staff Corps is approved. This group of letters is transcribed and footnoted in Chapter 8 of I Hope to Do My Country Service.
