In the foreground is the fine White Star Line steamer Tashmoo, "Queen of the Detroit River" leading passengers and freight for the famous St. Clair Flats and Port Huron. Handwritten message on verso, postmarked Aug 4, 1909.

- Color postcard depicting the TASHMOO with many people on deck. Printed on verso: THE STEAMER TASHMOO is the pride of the White Star Line. She was constructed especially for use as a river excursion boat and carries 4,000 passengers on her broad decks. The Tashmoo's regular run in from Detroit to Post Huron, passing through the Detroit River, Lake St. Clair, the St. Clair Flats and St. Clair River. At Tashmoo Park, where the steamer touches, a large picnic and dancing pavilion are maintained. Handwritten message on verso, postmarked Jan 30, 1911.

- Color postcard depicting the steamers TASHMOO and PLEASURE at the dock at the foot of Woodward Avenue. The their decks are filled with passengers. Printed on verso: Pleasure Steamers. The steamers Pleasure and Tashmoo, loading with excursionists,, bound respectively for Belle Isle and the St. Clair Flats. Thousands of people take in the popular trips these steamers afford. The scene is typical of the summer season in Detroit. Handwritten message on verso, postmarked Aug 19, 1908.

Costing $1,500,000, operating between Detroit and Buffalo - Length 500 feet, 100 feet wide, 600 staterooms, 50 parlors, private verandas, telephones in every room. - Monochromatic glass plate negative taken of the Canada Steamship Lines' Northern Navigation Company passenger steamers NORONIC and HURONIC docked in Port Huron, as taken from on the St. Clair River off of the port bows of both boats. Port Huron is visible extending from the left side of the frame into the background. "Port Huron - S. Str. W.H., 1915," was handwritten on the envelope which previously housed the negative.

- Monochromatic glass plate negative taken of either the Chicago, Duluth and Georgian Bay Transit Company passenger steamers NORTH AMERICAN or SOUTH AMERICAN, a trio of tug boats, and a freighter outfitted with self-unloading equipment passing each other, as viewed from a long distance in the vacinity of Algonac. A tree lined shoreline is visible in the background. "Algonac 9-3-16," was handwritten on the envelope which previously held the negative.

- Black and white photo of the small passenger steamboats ODD FELLOW and MABLE docked in Elk Rapids, Michigan, as viewed from the foot of the dock with the bow of the ODD FELLOW on the left, and that of the MABLE on the right. Passengers stand on the dock between the boats, as well as on board both boats. A dog is among the group on the dock. "ODD FELLOW and MABLE 1905," was typewritten on a caption previously stapled to the upper left corner of the recto. "Elk Rapids, Michigan," is handwritten on the verso.

- Color postcard depicting the CITY OF DETROIT III at night with many people visible on deck. Printed on verso: City of Detroit III, of the D. & C. Line, at Night. Cost $1,500,000. Operates between Detroit and Buffalo in connection with steamer "City of Cleveland." This is the largest and finest side-wheel steamer afloat, being 500 feet long, 100 feet wide, six decks, 600 staterooms, 50 parlors with private verandas, telephone in every stateroom, dining room on main deck, Palm Court, Marie Antoinette Drawing Room, Lounge Room and numerous other features. Passenger capacity 5,000. Handwritten message on verso, postmarked Sep, 1919.
