- Cabinet card bearing a sepia-toned head-and-shoulders portrait photograph of Detroit Fire Commissioner Peter Henkel. Handwriting on the verso notes "ex-commissioner, Peter Henkel." This photograph is one of a series of eight photos of former Detroit Fire Department Commissioners. The decorative logo of the photographer's studio (Randall) has been torn off of the verso of the cabinet card photo. The proof bears the name of "Geo. Francis Train" at the bottom, and a stamp for "Randall, 220 & 222 Woodward Ave., Detroit, Mich.," is shown on the verso.

- Two sepia-toned albumen cabinet cards bearing portrait photographs of a fireman who is standing beside a small table. His hand is resting a small statue that is on the table. The fireman is wearing his uniform which includes a long, double-breasted coat, decorative belt, and cap. His belt has the letter, "T," on the buckle. On one copy his collar has been hand-colored in purple, and badge shows the handwritten number, "4," while the other copy has the handwritten number "2" on the coat matching the "2" on his hat's badge. Handwriting on the verso notes "Frank Walsh."

The five men in the front are seated in wooden chairs, and the other four men stand behind them. The man seated in the center has a pair of bugles and the number 120 on the badge on his hat. The man seated to the left of him as a single bugle and the number 181 on his. The photo is mounted on beige cardstock.

Kar, wearing an apron and bowtie, poses in the doorway beside a small child and a man in a dark vest and hat. Two barbers, presumably Bela Benko and Charles Havasi, pose in front of the steps to their business below street level in the same building. A group of people stand on the sidewalk to the far right of the frame. A young child peers through the bar windows on the building's second floor. "John Kar Saloon 2166 W.
