The Association hut became the center of social activities in most prison camps during World War I.

- To celebrate the Christmas season, the French prisoners organized a special concert for December 1917. This program highlights the music performed at Muensingen (the Christmas celebration for Russian and Serbian prisoners would follow in January 1918 due to the Orthodox calendar).

- Thousands of Russian prisoners celebrated Christmas outdoors in the prison compound at Purgstall by a large, decorated Christmas tree. American YMCA Secretary Paul B. Anderson took this photograph during the celebrations.

- Russian prisoners of war study in a synagogue in the prison camp at Zwickau. Several sit at a table, reading the Talmud and several men standing in the rear of the synagogue wear prayer shawls. The synagogue is not as ornate as the Catholic chapel in the camp.

- A winter view of the monument that French prisoners of war at Rennbahn designed and constructed in memorial to Allied POW's who died at Muenster II. The commandant arranged for free photographs of individual graves to be sent to family members through the camp's British Help Committee.

- A collection of materials from the Plymouth Congregational Church of Lansing, Mich., donated upon their vacating the facility at 2001 E. Grand River Ave. in the fall of 2017. The collection includes original and later editions of "Under the Mustard Tree" church history (some of which also exist in the cataloged Local History book collection at call no. R 285.877427 Plymouth), the bulletin from the final service at the Grand River location, a souvenir postcard, plate, and tile, and a list of all ministers of the congregation since its forming in 1847. There is also a selection of correspondence and meeting agendas and minutes (2001-2017), various brochures and service programs, and fall meeting and annual report booklets. In addition, early volumes of "The Year Book of the Congregational and Christian Churches" (1920, 1928, 1935, 1944, 1955) and the 2005 Yearbook of the National Association of Congregational Christian Churches are included. Susy E. Stebbins' personal inscribed copy (which later belonged to C. Rowland Stebbins) "Congregationalists in America" by Rev. Albert E. Dunning (1894) is also in this collection. Membership directories were placed in Local History's cataloged book collection.
