- United States President Barack Obama makes a statement about the results of the 2016 election. Obama promises a smooth transition to a Trump administration in January and announces that President-elect Trump will visit the White House on Thursday, November 10th. He also says he has spoken to Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton and that he is proud of her and her historic run for the White House. Obama declares that "we are Americans first" and that all Americans need to have respect for the country's institutions, the rule of law and for each other. Held at the White House.

- In an oral history interview, Selma Hollander talks with retired Michigan State University faculty Dixie Platt about their fifty-year friendship. Platt reminisces about coming to Hollander's home and tip toeing through an art project that Hollander had laid out on her living room floor. Platt also talks about living next door to the Hollanders in the Marilyn Apartments as a new faculty member and being introduced to other MSU faculty and administrators by the Hollanders when she came to visit. Hollander talks about pursuing her bachelor's and masters' degrees at MSU, exhibiting her art at various venues including, the Wharton Center, teaching classes, aging, fashion and travel. She also talks about her husband Stanley's blindness and how, with her help, he was able to continue teaching and traveling and her recent one-hundredth birthday party. The third of three oral history interviews with Selma Hollander.

- One photograph album from the early 20th century, created by a woman named Kittie F. Kent, who worked as a clerk at Olds in Lansing for a number of years. Themes in the album's photographs include trips to Niagara Falls and Washington, D. C. (1920), South Carolina or California; snapshots of friends and family; on campus at M. S. C.; at Pine Lake; many pictures of cats; snapshots of men in military dress; homes in the 700 block of West Willow Street; snapshots of mostly female coworkers from the Olds plant in the 1910s and 1920s. About half of the album's pages are blank, and some pages have loose photographs tucked between. Two representative images have been scanned. For further information please contact the libary.
