- Alberda-Shook Chevrolet truck, loaded with a Derby car for the trip to Detroit, in front of a house at 1657 Kalamazoo Ave. SE, owned by Warren Townsend (1937 City Directory). The young man standing by the Derby car, wearing an Ottawa Hills High School sweater, may be Robert Townsend, 16 years old in 1937 (1940 Census record). The Derby car is sponsored by the Grand Rapids Herald. Men in the picture may be from the the Grand Rapids Herald.

Lettering on the left truck reads "Veltman Cookie Co. Grand Rapids, MICH. 'Quality at a Low Price.'" The truck on the right reads: "Veltman Cookie Co., 'Its Cookie Time.'"
