- Lansing Broadcasting Co. building housed several businesses in addition to their WILS-AM radio station: Verra-Kleen Cleaners, and Baucom Barber; all used 407 as their address. City Planning Division staff annotated the photo and trimmed several photographs for assembly into this composite view. An automobile partially seen in one part is absent from the other because the images were taken at different times.

- At right is the end of the Gladmer Theatre at 233 North Washington Avenue. Moving left, in the same building, Randall's Health Foods is at 231. Continuing south, Silver Lead Paint at 229, Western Auto Supply at 225, Emery-Pratt office equipment at 223, Epicure Tea Shop at 221, MacLaughlin Music at 219, National China at 213, and Firestone Tires at 211. The block ends with the Tussing building at West Ottawa Street, home of the Palms Theatre at 209 and the College Drugstore at 201. Buildings seen to the south include the Bank of Lansing at 101 North Washington Avenue, Prudden building on South Washington and West Michigan Avenue, and the Michigan National Tower at West Allegan Street and South Capitol Avenue.
