- Check, printed by the Calvert Lithographing Company, from the office of Parker, Holmes, and Company--successors to Mowry and Company--for the amount of $35.25 to the Second National Bank, dated June 6, 1874. The check is to charge to account of John Whitely of Lansing Michigan. The corner of the check is printed with an advertisement for Parker, Holmes, and Company's Nerve Chewing Tobacco, depicting a sailor who has climbed up a flag pole to nail a banner bearing the product's name.

- One postcard entitled "Removal Notice." The postcard is printed in black ink on heavy white paper and notes that "The Schmansky Bros. Co., Tailors" has moved from 502 Baker St. to 550 Baker St. in Detroit. Suits and overcoats are advertised for prices that range from $18.00 to $30.00. The postcard is addressed to "Mr. Waltensperger, 201 20th St., City," and is postmarked January 29, 1916.

- One street map of Detroit and Eastern Wayne County that was printed by the Federal Lithograph Company of Detroit. The multicolor map is printed on white paper at a scale of 1.2 inches = 1 mile. It shows streets, street names, city and township boundaries, section numbers, railroad and streetcar lines, and the locations of new residential subdivisions and industrial sites in Dearborn and southwest Detroit. Several tables along the left side of the sheet give statistics on population growth, projected city boundaries in 1930, and leading industries. The map features residential developments of the "Glover Watson Organization" and the company name appears prominently in several inset advertisements across the map.

- One map entitled, "Farmer's New Map of Wayne County, Michigan." The map is printed in red, green, and black text on a white background and shows cities, townships, major roads, railroad lines, population statistics, and the names of property owners in the county as of 1904. The map was compiled by Arthur John Farmer and was drawn by Jethro Brown. A brief county history is shown in the lower left and right corner areas of the map.

- One copyright registration, "No. 116 I," dated January 3, 1878, issued by the "Library of Congress, Copyright Office, Washington." The registration form is printed in black text on white paper and includes blank lines that have been completed in handwritten black ink text. It indicates that a copyright was issued to the Richmond & Backus Company of Detroit for a "Book or Form" which is described in more specific detail in handwritten text. The registration form was signed in the lower right corner by "A. R. [Ainsworth Rand] Spofford, Librarian of Congress." An oval-shaped embossed seal of the Copyright Office is located in the upper left corner of the form.

- One architectural drawing entitled "Plans of Laboratory for Park Davis and Co., Detroit, Mich." The drawing consists of red and black ink on linen and shows front and side elevation views of a proposed 2-story laboratory building. A building cross-section detail is also shown along with a plan detail which shows the building being bounded by Atwater Street, McDougall Ave., and Guoin Street. The plan was prepared by "Carl Schmid, Archt. [Architect], 465 Grand River Ave." at a scale of 1 inch = 8 feet and is dated 1885.

- One plan sheet entitled, "Bulkheads for Fire Boat." The drawing consists of ink on linen and shows the structural design details of seven bulkheads that were to be constructed at different locations in the hull of the fire tugboat, George A. Wallace. The title block in the lower right corner shows that the drawing was prepared by the "Manitowoc Ship Building & Dry Dock Co." at a scale of 3/8 inch = 1 foot and is dated November 20, [1915]. The plan number is shown as "3625."

- 2-page letter written by Frederick K. Stearns, President of Frederick Stearns & Co. It was typewritten in blue text onto slightly yellowed, thin linen paper which has a watermark that shows a shield emblem with the words, "Perfection Linen." The letter is dated Dec. 31st, 1900, and the last page is signed in black ink, "Frederick Kimball Stearns." The body of the letter gives a brief overview of the principal persons and companies that were involved with pharmaceutical manufacturing in Detroit in the 19th century. Both pages have several handwritten corrections.
