“Arab Americans and the Automobile: Voices from the Factory” was a project conducted in 1999 by the Cultural Arts Department of the Arab Community Center for Economic and Social Services (ACCESS). The main objective of “Voices from the Factory” was to document, through oral testimonies, the history of the Detroit area’s Arab immigrants in the automobile industry. and The recording took place at the Ramallah Club in Westland, Michigan probably during an event. In the background we can hear indistinct, but often loud, talking.
