- Sepia-toned group portrait photograph taken of Helen Hall Newberry and Henry Bourne Joy, Sr. posed with five guests at their 30th wedding anniversary dinner. Edith Stanton Newberry stands on the far right wearing the wedding dress of her mother-in-law Helen P. Newberry. The group stand in a parlor room funrished with screens, and decorated with paintings, sculpture, and vases. "Fourth & fifth persons from left are: Mr. & Mrs. Henry B. Joy. Woman farthest right is - Mrs. J.S. Newberry, Jr.," is handwritten on the verso.

Workers work on the keel, which now has the upper framing and more bulkheads are now in place, within building "B" of the Ford River Rouge Factory Complex. The time of photo is 9:30 am. - Sepia-toned black and white photo showing a front corner view of the Fireman's Hall. The photo shows a 2-story painted brick building with a short steeple A sign on the front over the second-floor windows shows "1839, Firemen's Hall." The front of the hall faces on Bates Street as indicated by the street sign that can be seen on the side of the building near the corner. The ground floor has three shops and, presumably, the hall was located on the second floor. Shops on the ground floor include: "Chas. R. Brand, House & Sign Painting" and "J. W. Ezekiel, Auction & Commission" and "C. Govin. Merchant Tailor." A typewritten label on the verso shows "First Firemen's Hall, 1939. Larned St. East between Bates St. and Woodward." An ink stamp on the verso shows "Photograph by The Detroit News, Not to be Published."
