The sketch consists of black pencil on vellum paper and is dated and signed "8-2-16, JSB [James Scripps Booth]" near the center of the sheet. Handwritten red pencil text near the lower edge shows "Still OK, JSB, 1935."

An isometric view of the laboratory of Frederick Stearns and Company is at the top. At the bottom left is a "view in Grand Circus Park." A woman stands in the path leading to the fountain. Another woman and child sit on the bench to her right. More people are visible in the background behind the fountain. The Palms Building is pictured in the lower left frame. Pedestrians walk along the sidewalk outside of it, while a streetcar pulled by a horse with a rather wide gait, speeds past.

This View shows three of the Main Thoroughfares of Detroit, Cadillac Square at Right, Gratwit [sic] Avenue in Center and Monroe Avenue at left giving a general view of the East Side of Detroit. - World War I poster with the message, "U.S. Marines - First To Fight For Democracy, Enlist At." The poster shows a color drawing of six Marines loading a deck gun on a U.S. Navy warship. The poster was intended to encourage citizens to enlist in the Marine Corps. The artist's name and date, "L.A. Shafer, 1917," is shown near the lower right corner of the drawing.

The drawing shows a plan view, details, and design notes for the proposed motorcycle. The drawing is shown at an approximate scale of 1.625 inches = 1 foot. A note beneath the bar scale near the lower left corner reads "Note - This Tracing Made in France - 10/21/11 - J.S.B. [James Scripps Booth]."

- One copyright registration, "No. 3286 P," dated February 15, 1884, issued by the "Library of Congress, Copyright Office, Washington." The registration form is printed in black text on white paper and includes blank lines that have been completed in handwritten blue ink text. It indicates that a copyright was issued to the Richmond & Backus Company of Detroit for a "Book or Form" which is described in more specific detail in handwritten text. The registration form was signed in the lower right corner by "A. R. [Ainsworth Rand] Spofford, Librarian of Congress." An oval-shaped embossed seal of the Copyright Office is located in the upper left corner of the form.
