- One accounting report for "Messrs.[?] Richmond & Backus." The report is handwritten in black ink on a sheet of white linen ledger paper that has light blue lines and columns. It lists dates, items, and costs and is signed near the lower right corner: "Rec. Payt., B. Vernor, --. J. Vernier." A two-cent U.S. Internal Revenue stamp has been affixed to the lower left corner of the page and is dated "Aug. 24, 1870," in black handwritten text. The stamp features a red and white engraved design with a bust of George Washington at the center.

The color map shows the names of cities, towns, and townships throughout the county as well as existing and proposed roads. Section numbers are also shown for each township. The map indicates various roads that were to be built as part of a "Two Mill Tax (1916)" and a separate primary and secondary bond issue. The names of Road Commission officials are listed at the top of the map: "John A. Adams, Thomas Lytle, Robert Garner" and "M. DeGlopper, Eng'r.; F. B. Babcock, Clerk; S. C. Rogers, Deputy Clerk."
