- One copy of a lease agreement, dated 6 March 1871, made between Arouet Richmond, Frederick H. A. Backus, Benjamin B. Richmond, parties of the first part and Freund & Kast Co., Adolph Freund, Gustavus Kast, S. T------, parties of the second part. The agreement is printed in black text on a sheet of white paper. Blank lines have been completed in handwritten black text. The text indicated that the parties of the first part were leasing rooms in a building located at 183 Jefferson Avenue, to the parties of the second part for two years for a total amount of $400.00. All parties have signed their names at the end of the lease agreement in the presence of two witnesses, "N. North Nay" and "Ignatz Freund."

- One drawing entitled "Cross Section of Steam Ferry No. 53 for Mackinaw and Point St. Ignace." The drawing was prepared by the Detroit Dry Dock Company at a scale of 3/8 inch = 1 foot and is dated May 28, 1881. It consists of black ink on linen with light brown shading and has a red borderline. The drawing shows a half cross section view of the proposed wooden-hulled railroad ferry.

- One blueprint drawing entitled "U. S. Lake Survey, Detail of Intermediate Sweep Float." The drawing shows the design of a float (buoy) that was used as part of a sweep for obtaining water depth information. The sweep consisted of a line of 15 floats with flags, spaced at 100-foot intervals, that supported an underwater wire at a set depth. The line of buoys would then be dragged across an area of water by launches at each end of the buoy line. If the wire encountered any submerged obstructions, it would cause one or more float (buoy) flags to tip and thereby give an approximate location of an obstruction that could be investigated further. Such obstructions could then be plotted on the navigational charts that were produced by the Lake Survey Office. The plan is dated January, 1915.

- One promissory note, dated April 6, 1869, that was issued to the Richmond & Backus Company. It was printed in black handwritten text on white paper that has pale red lines. The note terms indicated that "Two years from date, we promise to pay to the order of Richmond & Backus, One Hundred Thirty Five & 27/100 Dollars, with interest at the rate of two percent per annum at T. J. Rand's Bank, Muskegon, Mich., Value received - S. D. Murray, Wm. J. Murray." A ten-cent U.S. Internal Revenue stamp has been affixed to the left side of the note and has black handwritten text that reads "Apr. 6, 1869." The stamp features a blue and white engraved design with a bust of George Washington at the center.

- Half-folded menu from a dinner for the graduating class of the University of Michigan's Department of Medicine tendered by Parke, Davis and Company at the Russell House on Wednesday, June 10, 1903. The menu consists of two half-folded sheets of beige paper, one glued inside the other. A program of musical selections to be performed by the Russell House Orchestra led by L. Alberti is contained within beside the menu of dinner courses. The hotel's crest is printed on the back cover.

Coolidge and copyrighted by George M. Hayes. This is the title card to the set. On the recto is the title of the set, artist/copyright information, and the Michigan Stove Company name alongside an image of a red gear with the words "Buy Garland Stoves and Ranges" written inside it. - Color postcard depicting an elevated view along Central Avenue on Belle Isle. The street is crowded with pedestrians and in the foreground is a round flowerbed. Printed on verso: Belle Isle is in the Detroit River, between Detroit and Windsor, Canada. The Island contains 702 acres and is entirely covered with one of the most beautiful parks in the United States, having some 21 miles of Macadam Roads; a magnificent Casino, Pavilions; Boat Houses, Aquarium; Horticultural Hall and Zoological Gardens. The Island was purchased by Detroit in 1879 and has since then expended $1,600,000 in beautifying it. Handwritten message on verso, postmarked Jan 12, 1921.

This card depicts a boy wearing a suit and bowler hat, seated at a table with an issue of Scientific American and glass of beer. "Against Prohibition No. 4.
