Hollowed molded fragment of reddish-brown clay (MUNS 5 YR 5/4) from a single mold. The reverse side has been handmade. The piece was retouched and painted red. There is crude workmanship throughout and the clay is Delta quality. It was poorly laevigated and chip and straw impressions are visible in the clay. The walls are heavy and there are traces of plaster. There is a circular vent in the back which opens on the underside. The is also a green substance which might be painted plaster, evidently modern, on the base. Overall the piece is in good condition. The fragment represents an obese phallic man bearing a load in his left arm and standing bandy-legged with feet apart on a low base. The head is tilted to the left and there is a short garment over the abdomen.
Dark brown. Fair condition. Flat horse body pierced at leg areas for wheel axis. Axles knobbed at one end to hold wheels - tied at other end. Four wheels match. Part of original waxed pull string attached through hole pierced at neck.
Rounded outsplayed rim. Projecting concentric fold around center of vessel. Convex sides taper continually to short pad base with concave center. One third of sides broken away.
Slightly curved rod of wood which is thicker at the middle. Each end is a rounded knob with a series of grooves circling the ends for decoration. There is a hole drilled at each end. There are two more holes located at the top of piece; one at each end about 2 cm from ends. Each end is hollow so the two holes connect. There is also a hole in the very middle going all the way through the piece. The surface is smooth with some cracking and gouges.
