- Liturgy O.C.S.O. was published by Gethsemani Abbey, Trappist, KY and edited by Father Chrysogonus Waddell from 1966-1999. The journal (at that time a newsletter) began after September 1965 meeting of the Liturgy Commission of the Order of Cistercians of the Strict Observance to report progress in liturgical renewal after Vatican II. - French officers wait for a train that will take them to a German prison camp on the platform at the train station in Vouziers in France. Some of the German soldiers to the left wear full back packs and are probably preparing for deployment in the front lines.

- While most Allied prisoners survived their captivity in German prison camps, some men died of their wounds, malnutrition, or disease. This is a drawing of the prison cemetery in the woods outside of Muensingen in the snow.

- British internees revolted against German authority and practiced democratic self-government inside the prison camp at Ruhleben, which included the election of camp officers and administrators. Israel Cohen was one of the candidates and headed the "Men's Candidate" party.

- Two Russian prisoners conduct an inspection of the stocks in the warehouse at the prison camp at Bautzen, while a German officer (standing, with the sword) supervises the activity. The warehouse is full of hats, blankets, shirts, and other supplies.

- Wounded British prisoners sit in a hospital tent behind Turkish lines in Gallipoli during the Dardenelles campaign in 1915. The tent flaps are open to provide some ventilation for the POW's. Although the campaign was bloody, the Turks took relatively few prisoners during the battle.
