- An American WPA Secretary, Claus Olandt, poses for a photograph with the members of the YMCA Committee in the German prison camp at Muenster III. The members are British POW's and Olandt is sitting in the center of the group in civilian clothing and bowler hat.

- French prisoners, from the captured garrison at Montmedy, work on repairing a railroad tunnel which French troops destroyed during their retreat. This tunnel was part of the Aachen-Paris railway line and was one kilometer long.

- A horse drawn hearse, accompanied by a German artillery guard of honor, takes a deceased French POW to his final resting place in the cemetery at Rastatt, followed by his comrades carrying wreathes in his memory.

- French officers enjoy a game of pool in the Billiard Room at Mainz. In addition to the four billiard tables, the prisoners could enjoy drinks at the tables in the room.

- The British internees at Ruhleben administed internal affairs inside of the facility. These men served as policemen to provide security inside the prison camp. The British were strongly opposed to German guards patrolling inside the camp.
